This worksheet is made to be used with snap cubes. The students use 20 snap cubes to create as many rectangular prisms as they can. The activity is geared to help the students make a connection between the chart and the algorithm. It also reinforces the concept that different shapes can have the same volume.

I am a teacher, wife and mother. I have taught for over 20 years. I have taught pre-school, 9th grade, and pretty much every grade in between. For the past 11 years I have been lucky enough to be a 5th grade math focus teach who also gets to teach ELA. I started my blog http://quinnessentiallessons.blogspot.com/ back in 2013. I hope you will check it out.
