Finding Text Evidence Freebie!
Getting students to find evidence in the text to answer questions is one of the best ways to improve reading comprehension. When students have to go back to the text, reread, and underline answers, they have a much better chance of understanding what they are reading. Here's a free passage for you to try with your students! They will read the passage, use different colors to underline evidence for their answers, answer an inference question, and answer a question to make a text to self connection. So many skills are practiced on one page!
