Who Says Read Aloud Time Can't Incorporate Math?

Read Aloud time is always my favorite time of the school day.  It's funny though, most of my read alouds do not involve math.  I LOVE Cindy Neuschwander because she found a great way to incorporate meaningful math lessons into engaging math stories.  I love her books so much, that I had to create a free math lesson to go with one of her books.

This free math lesson for "Sir Cumference and The First Round Table" is a perfect accompaniment to the book.  You can have students complete the worksheets after reading and discussing the book.  The lesson will help your students understand the concepts of diameter, radius, circumference and Pi.

Enjoy!
