Back to School: Writing Prompts!

One of the first things I like to do with my kids is to gauge their abilities as writers. Now, we don't do this on the first day - too much pressure!! - but it is something we do by the end of the first week.

This resource helps me:
  • create guided writing groups
  • develop mini-lessons for missing skills
  • decided where to start our ever-growing editing checklist 
  • get to know my students as writers
and LOTS more!
