I thought I'd share my next read aloud with you:
My Father's Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett.
A boy tells about his father's adventures as the father tries to save a flying dragon from an island filled with dangerous animals.
My friend, who is a school librarian, suggested this book. Last year, my students couldn't wait for me to continue the story each day. It now has become one of my favorite read aloud novels.
I created some follow up activities.

You can download the packet HERE.

I read this book every year to my class. They love it so much that they usually beg me to read the next two books in the series. It's such a wonderful story. Thank you for sharing the follow-up activities!
