The Perfect Nest (with depth and complexity)

Have you had a chance to share The Perfect Nest, by Catherine Friend, with your students? It's funny, heartwarming, and a great part of any springtime study of eggs!

We had so much fun with this book, that I created some activities to extend our study, adding depth and complexity at the same time.

I have a free printable activity on TPT that you can print and use with your springtime egg unit.

This activity allows students to imagine how THEY would design a perfect nest, draw it, label it, and explain why it is perfect. If you're reading this book with your class, head on over to TPT and enjoy the free download.

If you're studying eggs and hatching this spring, add this book to your plans! And whenever you need ideas from your friendly neighborhood librarian, stop by my Library Centers blog!
