Geometry Vocabulary Activity: Odd One Out with Triangles and Rectangles

Do you need a small group activity where students practice using their geometry vocabulary words?  Try Odd One Out with Quadrilaterals and Triangles.

This one page has two activities.  I give each group half a page stapled to a piece of notebook paper.  Students decide which shape doesn't belong of the set and justify it with mathematical language.

I have the groups of 3-4 students write at least ten ways.  I tell them I want to see each person's handwriting and initials.
