My fourth graders get confused with units of measurement -- which is metric and which is customary. Our math textbook introduces each separately, but I still find students not sure which side of the ruler to use.
I keep creating more scaffolding and lessons to support my students' understanding of measurement. The graphic organizer below may be used to introduce the units of measurement to the students or for additional practice.
