Turn Readaloud Books into Readable Books!

After you read a great book to your class, here's an idea for creating another opportunity for comprehension growth. As your students use the pictures to retell the story, they'll be building skills in sequencing, vocabulary, and more. You'll also be reminding them that there are many ways to "read" a book, and that illustrations are an additional source of information when reading.
