Instant (Sight) Word E-Book by Joy of Teaching

If there is one favorite teacher resource book I have, it would be The Reading Teacher's Book of Lists by Edward Fry.  There is just an amazing amount of lists that I have found ever-so-helpful in all subject areas.  One of my favorite lists in the book is the Instant Words list.  The book claims that the first 300 words make up about 65% of all written material.  That is just an incredible foundation to work with.  To make my life easier, I have used that list to create a set of forms and flashcards to use in the classroom.  I hope you find it as helpful as I do!
