Clip Art Comparisons and Teachers Pay Teachers

Clip art is a great way to enhance your games and worksheets.  It may brighten up your blog or help you sell your Teacher Pay Teacher products.  However it is difficult to remember the Terms of Use for all of the clip art companies.  In my free product, “Clip Art Comparisons and Teachers Pay Teachers,” I have asked representatives from clip art companies to respond to 14 questions and answer them in plain simple English.

I will be showcasing individual clip art companies at “Classroom Freebies Too.”  This month’s clip art company is “Tracee Orman - Mrs. Orman’s Classroom.  You may also go to http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Clip-Art-Comparisons-and-Teachers-Pay-Teachers and view all of the clip art companies’ responses.

What is the name of your company? "Tracee Orman" (on TpT) and blog: "Mrs. Orman's Classroom"

What is your company’s URL address?
www.traceeorman.com (This is my "Mrs. Orman's Classroom" blog where I will post notices of new clipart to buy on TpT.)

Will teachers be able to use your graphics to sell products over the Internet? Yes. All but two packages are for commercial use.

Will teachers be able to use your graphics to sell their paid products and free products? Yes. All but two are for commercial use.

How much does it cost to use your graphics? Nothing. (No fee.)

Will teachers need to purchase any other license to use your product? No.

Do you provide free graphics? Yes:
Will teachers need to use your graphics only in PDF form or will the buyers of the products be able to edit the pages that have your graphics on them? Secured PDF for FREE products only. They can use my graphics in Powerpoints, SMARTBoard, Word, etc. for any resources that are for purchase.

Will teachers need to write your company’s name or give you credit somewhere in the product? If so, do you have an example of the exact wording you would like teachers to use? On most of my materials they just need to link back to my store on TpT or my blog. However, if they are just using them for their classroom, credit is not necessary. I have started listing some where they do not need to link back or give credit.

Example wording for NO credit needed:
You may use these images for commercial, personal, and educational use. The files themselves cannot be resold in a clip art/graphics package, but you may use the images commercially in your lessons or products. You may use them in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint/SMARTBoard lessons (and any other application) unless it is a free product. FREE products must be in a secured PDF file so the images cannot be copied. *For your convenience, this package does NOT require any link back or credit for the graphics.

This is the wording for all others for commercial use:
You may use these images for commercial, personal, and educational use. The files themselves can not be resold in a clip art/graphics package, but you may use the images commercially if they are used/embedded in your lessons in any application (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SMARTBoard/Notebook, etc.). However, if you use the image files in a FREE product, please make sure the file is secure and in PDF format so the images cannot be copied. Thank you!

Please link back to my website somewhere in your document (it can be in fine print): www.traceeorman.com or my TpT store: http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Tracee-Orman

Do you have any other comments? Thank you for the free publicity! It is always appreciated!
