Black History Month

Hi, this is April from Fun 2B in First. I am super excited to be a new contributer to Classroom Freebies Too. Here in Georgia, we have to teach about George Washington Carver. I always have a hard time finding quality resources about him that interest my students. So, I made my own this year and I want to share it with you. If your standards don't cover George Washington Carver then  this project would work as part of any Black History Month unit.

My students had a great time creating these peanut people and writing about George Washington Carver. Their writing is under their peanut people. They did a great job of summarizing their learning and the projects turned out pretty cute too.

I created templates for each part of the project. You can get the free templates and read about exactly how to make your own George Washington Carver projects at Fun 2B in First. Just click on any of the pictures or right here
